B’nai Amoona ECC announces ‘Gift of Education’ initiative

Lori Tesser works with children at B’nai Amoona’s Early Childhood Center, which has unveiled a new initiative offering a one-time discount for families of up to $2,000.

In an effort to make Jewish Early Childhood Center (ECC) preschool and day care more accessible and affordable, Congregation B’nai Amoona is launching the B’nai Amoona Gift of Education initiative.

The Gift of Education is a one-time gift of up to $2,000 to any new family enrolling in the center and is based on the number of days per week a child is enrolled. Families already enrolled will receive a one-time 50 percent “loyalty gift” that will be based on the number of days per week enrolled.

“We know inspiring a lifelong love of Jewish living and learning comes from multiple positive early life experiences,” B’nai Amoona Rabbi Carnie Shalom Rose said. “Our early childhood programs lay the foundation for a life of engagement with Torah, mitzvot and a love of Israel.”

Jennifer Newfeld, director of Congregational Learning at B’nai Amoona, said, “This Gift of Education is a wonderful opportunity to help a child and their family experience our ECC. We are grateful to our donors who are making this initiative a reality.”

The ECC enrolls children from 6 weeks to 6 years old. It operates Monday through Thursday from 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Applications are being accepted for the Gift of Education initiative for the 2014-2015 school year.
