Bais Abraham, Torah MiTzion offer family learning series
Published November 9, 2011
Bais Abraham Congregation and Torah MiTzion are offering a Parent-Child Learning and Dinner series over four Mondays. The series began Nov. 7 and continues Nov. 14, 21 and 28. Sessions take place from 5 to 6:30 p.m.
Families are welcome to join the series with the Nov. 14 session to learn Torah with children ages 4 to 9 (and their siblings) in a warm and positive environment.
Families will learn Mishna from Masechet Avot (Pirkei Avot) in an exciting program led by Rabbi Hyim Shafner and Gilat and Assi Gastfraind of Torah Mitzion Kollel.
Each week, fun prizes will be raffled off. A home-cooked dinner will be served for everyone each week. During the last session, children will create a piece of artwork based on their learning.
There is no cost to attend. Contact Bais Abraham at 314-721-3030 for more information.
The series is co-sponsored by Torah MiTzion and Bais Abraham and made possible through a grant from the Jewish Federation of St. Louis, through the generosity of the Gladys K. Crown Foundation, honoring the memory of Shirlee Green, and the Rich Education Fund.
