Bais Abraham plans High Holidays programs

Bais Abraham Congregation, 6910 Delmar Boulevard in University City, will hold learners’ services and community events over the High Holidays.
Events include:
• Rosh Hashanah Learners’ Service: from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Thursday and at approximately 11 am. Friday following the first shofar blasts in the Gardner Beit Midrash; facilitated by Rabbi Hyim Shafner
• Yom Kippur Learners’ Services: from 4 to 6 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 8 in the Beit Midrash; all levels of knowledge are welcome – everything will be explained in English
• ‘Open House in the Open House’: open Sukkah Party from 5 to 9 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 16 at Bais Abraham (rain or shine)
• Simchat Torah Blowout: food, drinks and dancing with the Torahs into the night, starting at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 20 at Bais Abraham
