Author presentation, interfaith panel focuses on Adam and Eve

The Jewish Community Relations Council, Interfaith Partnership of Greater St. Louis and Meet Me Saint Louis, will present a unique discussion on the invention of love, and Adam and Eve, featuring New York Times columnist and bestselling author Bruce Feiler, with an interfaith discussion panel, Wednesday, April 5 at the Ethical Society of St. Louis, 9001 Clayton Road. Doors will open at 6:30 p.m. for seating and the program will begin at 7 p.m.
Feiler is author of the new book “The First Love Story: Adam, Eve, and Us,” offering a re-imagining of history’s most famous couple and their influence on Western culture. Feiler’s previous books include “Walking the Bible” and “Abraham—The Father of Three Faiths.”
Joining Feiler for the panel discussion will be: Dr. Bahar Bastani, a board member of Interfaith Partnership; Rabbi Amy Feder, senior rabbi from Congregation Temple Israel; and Rev. Seán Charles Martin, President of Aquinas Institute of Theology.
Tickets are $25 General Admission / $20 for Students (with valid ID), available at MeetMeStLouis.org. The event includes a presentation by Feiler; commentary and discussion with members of the interfaith panel; audience Q&A; and a book signing. Copies of Feiler’s book will be for sale at the event. A portion of proceeds from ticket sales will benefit JCRC and Interfaith Partnership.
