Applications being accepted through Dec. 4 for 2016 Millstone Fellows Class

Applications are now being accepted for the 2016 Millstone Fellows, the Millstone Institute’s signature program for emerging and established leaders from throughout the St. Louis Jewish community. Applicants should have demonstrated leadership through their professional or volunteer work and a commitment to the Jewish community and the St. Louis region.

Through sharing perspectives and ideas, integrating Jewish values into decision-making, enhancing leadership skills and exploring relevant topics on the local, national and global scene, Fellows deepen and define their personal commitments, build meaningful relationships and develop leadership tools that can be applied to their leadership.

“Being a part of the 2014 Millstone Fellows class has been an honor and privilege,” said Josh Wallach, 2014 Millstone Fellow. “As active participants, we’ve been given extensive opportunities to engage in meaningful conversation amongst a diverse demographic of Jews, broadening our viewpoints and potentially our ways of thinking.  It has been an experience which will benefit my skills as a lay leader going forward.”

Building on the expertise and knowledge of participants and thought leaders, the Millstone Fellows will address community issues and challenges. Members of the 2016 Fellows will join with alumni to influence the future of the St. Louis Jewish community.

The program will comprise eight monthly gatherings, including half-day Sunday retreats and three-hour weeknight sessions from February through November 2015. Cost of the program is $350; scholarships are available.  For more information visit or contact Karen Sher at 314-442-3824 or [email protected] deadline to apply is Dec. 4.
