Applications are now being accepted for the 2014 Millstone Fellows, the Institute’s signature program for emerging and established leaders from throughout the St. Louis Jewish community. Applicants should have demonstrated leadership through their professional or volunteer work and a commitment to the Jewish community and the St. Louis region.
This select leadership program will include skills to move the community forward, integration of Jewish values into decision-making, deepening personal commitments, engaging with local and national thought leaders, and building meaningful relationships that lead to community partnerships. “Before the Fellows program, I would have based my involvement on my experience alone. Now, I’ve developed a network that I can use to forge my connections in the Jewish community,” said Phil Frischer, who was in the first cohort of the Millstone Fellows.
Building on the expertise and knowledge of participants and thought leaders, the Millstone Fellows will address community issues and challenges. Members of the 2014 Fellows will join with alumni to influence the future of the St. Louis Jewish community.
The program will comprise eight sessions from March through November 2014, including both evening sessions and half-day retreats. Cost of the program is $350; scholarships are available. To apply, go to www.millstonestl.org/Fellows, or contact Karen Sher at 314-442-3824 or [email protected] The deadline to apply is Friday, Dec. 13, 2013.
