Anti-Semitism envoy to speak at women’s leadership event

Hannah Rosenthal, Special Envoy to Monitor and Combat Anti-Semitism for the U.S. State Department will be the featured speaker on “Passionate Leadership: Community Trends, Leadership Values and Personal Commitments” at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 4 during a program in Clayton. The program kicks off the Women’s Leadership Initiative of the Millstone Institute for Jewish Leadership focusing on deepening personal connections, sharing expertise and furthering knowledge of Jewish life through different perspectives.
Rosenthal has led a life guided by activism and social justice. She was formerly Executive Director of the Chicago Foundation for Women, one of the largest women’s funds in the world, and led the Jewish Council for Public Affairs as the Executive Director where she worked on domestic and international policy for the organized Jewish community of North America. Rosenthal also served as Midwest Regional Director of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services during the Clinton Administration.
