Anti-BDS speaker visiting St. Louis for events Nov. 4-5

Charles Pulman

St. Louis Friends of Israel, in conjunction with the Jewish Community Relations Council, American Jewish Committee and the Anti-Defamation League, is welcoming  Texas attorney Charles Pulman for a series of community meetings Nov. 4-5, focusing on BDS, the movement to boycott, divest from and sanction Israel. 

Pulman worked with Texas legislators and a host of community organizations to pass anti-BDS legislation in the 2017 Texas legislative session by an overwhelming vote.  Pulman promises a “BDS 101: What is BDS and what its proponents want to achieve inside and outside the U.S.?” 

Pulman will appear at several events:  

Nusach Hari B’nai Zion (650 N. Price Road), at 11 a.m.Saturday, Nov. 4, during Shabbat services  

U City Shul (700 North & South Road) at 5:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 4

Pillar Foundation (15820 Clayton Road), from 1:30 to 3 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 5

B’nai Amoona (324 S. Mason Road), from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 5

Pulman is a frequent lecturer and has written many articles on the conflict between Israel and the Arabs/Palestinians, his trips to Israel, the relationship and bond between Diaspora Jewry and Israel, anti-Semitism, and Israel advocacy.

Pulman recently founded and is the president of “Why Israel Matters, Inc.,” a nonprofit devoted to educating the public on the accomplishments and innovations that have originated in Israel.
