Aish will kick off 2008 Speaker Series

Aish HaTorah has announced its line up of speakers for the upcoming 2008 season of the St. Louis Jewish Speakers Series. The season begins with the Annual Stuart I. Raskas Dessert Reception on Thursday, Feb. 7 at the St. Louis Airport Marriot Hotel with a multi-media presentation, “Driven”, created by Rabbi Ken Spiro, an internationally renown historian, author and lecturer based out of Jerusalem. In this compelling presentation, Rabbi Spiro, author of World Perfect, looks at why the tiny Jewish people have been one of the most monumental forces in Western civilization. The event is free and open to the entire Jewish community. Also featured as part of the 2008 speaker series will be Macolm Hoenlein, Executive Vice Chairman of the Conference of Presidents of Major Jewish Organizations. His talk, “The Presidential Election and the War on Terror: What’s at Stake for America and Israel” is set for Wednesday, March 5. The spring programs will include Alexander Seinfeld speaking on “The Art of Amazement” in April, and Rabbi Steve Baars “Get Bliss” Marriage Enrichment Seminar in May. Rabbi Yaakov Salomon wraps up the season with “The Five Levels of Pleasure” at the Annual Mark Raiffie Memorial Lecture in June.
