Agudas Israel of St. Louis to honor Yale and Gail Miller

Yale and Gail Miller

Agudas Israel will honor Yale and Gail Miller during its annual dinner on Sunday, May 26 at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Clayton. The Millers have been selected for their dedication to the congregation, the broader Jewish community and numerous Jewish causes for a period of more than 50 years.

Yale Miller has served on numerous boards, including Jewish Federation of St. Louis, Jewish Center for the Aged (past Treasurer), Vaad Hoeir of St. Louis, Agudas Israel of St. Louis, Young Israel of St. Louis (past president), Epstein Hebrew Academy (past vice president) and is currently a board member of the Chesed Shel Emeth Society. On a national level, he has served on the board of the Union of Orthodox Congregations of America and as the Vice President of the National Council of Synagogue Youth (NCSY).

After a successful 44-year career in investment advisory services, Yale retired in 2006 as a Senior Vice President of Investments at Stifel Nicolaus and Company.

Gail Miller, too, has a distinguished record of achievement and leadership in the community. She has served as co-president of Bikur Cholim Visitors Network, co-president of the Mizrachi Women’s Organization of St. Louis (AMIT) and as a volunteer for Ahavas Chesed Burial Society.  Gail also taught at the Central Agency for Jewish Education for over 14 years, where in 1993 she was honored with the Nancy Elbaum Makovsky Outstanding Teacher Award.

Together, the Millers exemplify Torah Judaism in action, constantly giving their time, talents and other resources to those who need it.
