ADL will honor workplace diversity

The ADL’s A WORLD OF DIFFERENCE Institute’s 2007 Workplace Diversity Award Dinner and the official kick-off of the A WORLD OF DIFFERENCE Institute’s 20th Anniversary Celebration, featuring a month-long series of activities and events focusing on September as Diversity Month throughout the St. Louis region will be held Thursday, Sept. 6 at 7 p.m. Cocktails and hors d’oeuvres will be at 6 p.m. The event will take place at the Missouri History Museum at Lindell and DeBaliviere in Forest Park and will be emceed by Tony Scott, a radio personality from Majic 104.9 FM
The A WORLD OF DIFFERENCE Institute’s 2007 Workplace Diversity Award, courtesy of Tiffany & Co., will be presented to two businesses, one large and one small: Alberici Constructors & Family Care Health Centers.
The A WORLD OF DIFFERENCE Institute Nomination and Selection Committee met earlier this year and reviewed all of the 2007 nominations. They selected Alberici Constructors and the Family Care Health Centers as this year’s recipients because of each firm’s outstanding commitment to respecting diversity in employee recruitment strategies, broad employee volunteerism, and in each company’s business and hiring practices.
Guests will be shown a video presentation and then will participate in The A WORLD OF DIFFERENCE Institute’s newest partnership program with the Missouri History Museum, an interactive experience known as “Reading Bias/Writing Tolerance: Using History’s Powerful Stories.” Trained docents will guide guests on an informative and delightful journey of discovery.
Free self-parking is available in the parking lots surrounding the Museum.
The cost for reservations is $200.00 per person. Sponsorship options range from $3,500 to $18,000.

* One or more tables of 10 at dinner (depending upon sponsorship level).
* Participation in the 20th Anniversary/ No Place For Hate ® Campaign.
* Two year promotional exposure opportunities in the ADL’s No Place For Hate ® Resource Guide, which will be distributed during the Fall, 2007 Dinner.
Chair will be Roberta Cohen, ADL Board member and community volunteer.
