Anti-Defamation League Regional Board Chair Aaron Vickar was awarded the 2018 Daniel R. Ginsberg Leadership Award during ADL’s National Leadership Summit in Washington, D.C., last month.

The national award recognizes outstanding young professionals for their leadership and commitment to the work of the ADL in the regions.

“Since its inception, the Ginsberg Award has been presented to ADL’s best and brightest,” said Karen Aroesty, ADL Regional Director in a statement.  “Under Aaron’s leadership we have increased board giving, engaged new up-and-coming leaders and introduced a streamlined meeting approach supported by tech capacity that brings greater access around the region.”

Vickar said he was appreciative of the honor.

“It was a privilege to even be considered for this award, and to receive it with my family in attendance made it even more special,” he said. “It is truly an honor.”

Since 1995, ADL has conferred the Daniel R. Ginsberg Leadership Award to candidates from around the country who demonstrate commitment and contribute to the mission of ADL, regionally and nationally. The award is named in honor of the late Daniel R. Ginsberg, a former New York Regional Board Chairman and ADL National Commissioner.
