CONTEST RULES: The Jewish Light High Holidays Children’s Art Contest welcomes entries from children age 10 and younger.

There will be cash prizes of $54, $36 and $18 for the first, second and third-place entries in each category. The Jewish Light will run the winning entries in the Sept. 28 newspaper, and all entries will appear online. Winners will be notified by Monday, Sept. 26.

Winners will be judged their originality, creativity and expression of the High Holiday themes. Holiday messages (in English or Hebrew) may be incorporated into the artwork.

Entries will be divided into two categories:

• Children 6 and under

• Children age 7-10

Please submit entries on standard 8.5″x11″ paper. On the back of the paper, please include the entrants’ name, age, a parent or guardian’s name, daytime phone number and address.

Entries may be mailed (but must be received by the deadline stated below), dropped off at the Jewish Light office (6 Millstone Campus Drive, Suite 3010, St. Louis, MO 63146).

Entries also may be scanned and emailed to [email protected]. For emailed entries, please include in the body of the email the entrants’ name, age, a parent or guardian’s name, daytime phone number and address.

If you would like your entry returned, please include a self-addressed, stamped envelope.
