Recently, Nefesh B’Nefesh has partnered with El-Al to provide subsidized flights to parents of Lone Soldiers with financial limitations. A Lone Soldier is a soldier in the IDF, mainly voluntary, that has no immediate family in Israel. Being a Lone Soldier can be extremely challenging and is also deeply emotional for parents from abroad. The subsidized flight partnership allows parents from the United States and Canada to surprise their sons and daughters at one of the few ceremonies that occur during their military service, something the parents would have otherwise been forced to miss.
