Painted by David Friedmann in 1915 in the student atelier of Professor Lovis Corinth, Berlin, this is a rare surviving work from before World War I. After a decades long search, the artist’s daughter, Miriam Friedman Morris, had the fortune to connect with the owner’s family and see the original painting in Israel in 2012.
