Maryville Hillel
Published June 1, 2017
Thanks to a generous grant from The Staenberg Family Foundation, our Maryville Hillel students were able to participate in the Challah for Hunger program at Maryville University this year. Students baked challah in the dining hall on campus throughout the year and sold the bread on campus. They raised $700 selling the challah at Maryville and collecting donations, and 100 percent of those proceeds were donated today to the Harvey Kornblum Jewish Food Pantry. In addition, our Maryville Hillel students worked with students from the Maryville Muslim Student Association to assemble soup packets, which were also donated to the food pantry.
