Volunteer Isaac Eastlund, 17, hands a chicken to a camper during a special petting zoo set up on Thursday, July 20 at a summer camp at the International Institute of St. Louis in south St. Louis. Isaac is a member of Shaare Emeth. The four-week summer camp for refugee families was organized by the Jewish Community Relations Council, Congregation Shaare Emeth, Congregation Temple Israel and United Hebrew Congregation. While their children attended the camp, parents were able to attend English classes at the Institute. The petting zoo, which featured llamas, goats, rabbits and chickens, all brought by Eagle Eye Traveling Petting Zoo, which is based in Spanish Lake.
