J-Tweet of the Week: Seth Rogen calls out senators
Published February 27, 2014
On Wedneday Seth Rogen went down to Capitol Hill to speak to a Senate committee about the impact Alzheimer’s has on families. Sadly, it was not exactly what you’d call a sold-out show.
Rogen, whose mother-in-law suffers from the disease, Tweeted a photo of the empty room, along with the caption “All those empty seats are senators who are not prioritizing Alzheimer’s. Unless more noise is made, it won’t change.” An entirely deserved public shaming, we think.
Watch his funny and very moving testimony here. FYI: As Rogen makes clear from the get-go, his appearance in Washington has nothing to do with the legalization of marijuana. He also describes himself as a mensch, which is totally right on.
