Israel’s Ambassador to the U.S. Ron Dermer visited Westminster College in Fulton, Mo., last month and  delivered the Enid and R. Crosby Kemper Lecture, part of the college’s Association of Churchill Fellows annual induction ceremony. In his speech, titled “Churchill and Israel,” Dermer repeatedly thanked Winston Churchill for being a stalwart proponent for the formation of the State of Israel, even though he was often at odds with the British government and members of his own party over the issue.
