Israel Defense Forces reservists Lital Shemesh and Ari Sharon speak to students at Washington University on Feb. 19 as part of the StandWithUs organization’s fifth annual ‘Israeli Soldiers’ Stories’ tour. The reservists delve into conversation about the Israeli-Arab conflict, talk about life in Israel and answer questions from students. Shemesh served as a combat soldier in the Border Police Unit of the IDF and now is a journalist; Sharon served in the IDF’s Special Forces Unit Maglan and was active during the Second Intifada. He now works as a software engineer.  The event was cosponsored by Hillel and Washington U Students for Israel.
