A fundraiser for Representative Brian Nieves (Republican-98th District), who is running for Missouri State Senate, will be held at Hidden Valley Resort in Wildwood Monday night. But bear in mind this isn’t your run-of-the-mill fundraiser. Nope, this fundraiser is solely at Elena Kagan’s expense. I’ll quote directly from the email invitation:

“The general theme for the night will be a spoof on the new Supreme Court Justice, Elena Kagan, who seems to be Ravenously Anti-2nd Am. and a Threat to God Given Liberties!

“In honor of Ms. Elena we got a Ruger Super Redhawk .44 Magnum mounted with a Leupold Scope, all in gorgeous stainless steel, the serial number of which is being engraved on a plaque naming it ‘The Elena Kagan’ and guess what?? … The Elena Kagan will be the Grand Door Prize of the night! – Yes, somebody gets to take Elena home!!”

The fundraiser is dinner and a comedy show, where Kagan is the butt of most jokes. Sounds hilarious, huh? Guests who pay $50 or more also get a chance to take home the door prize. And if that isn’t enough of a draw, some of the biggest names in local conservatism will be there as well, including Jamie Allman and Michelle Moore as well as State Senators Jim Lembke and Jane Cunningham.

Gee, where’s Ed Martin when you need him?
