It’s a family affair at the 13th Annual Bill Wallis Golf Classic, which raised more than $100,000 for the Bill Wallis Charitable Foundation. The fundraising event drew 288 golfers to the Country Club of St. Albans on June 23. The Bill Wallis Charitable Foundation was created in honor of the late Bill Wallis, the founder of Wallis Companies who lost his battle with melanoma in 2001. The Wallis family (members of Temple Israel for three generations) carries on Bill’s commitment to awarding college scholarships to some of the area’s most promising students.
