On Central Reform Congregation’s annual Washington D.C. trip for ninth graders, participants met with Missouri Sen. Claire McCaskill (above) as well as Sen. Roy Blunt, Congressman Lacy Clay and Ann Wagner. Claire McCaskill, Jordan Kronemer, Bridget Walsh, Joshua Yaffee, Charlie Steinbaum, Maxine Weil, Jean Gerchen, Shira Berkowitz (CRC chaperone) and Jake Talve(CRC chaperone).  The students advocated for causes about they had prepared on topics including mass incarceration, health care, LGBTQ rights and Planned Parenthood. The trip also included visits to many D.C. museums, including the Holocaust Museum and the new National Museum of African American History and Culture.  They also attended Shabbat services at a D.C. synagogue.
