Published September 11, 2013
For the second year, the New Jewish Theatre will hold Cabaret NJT, an evening of music and song paying tribute to “Jews on Broadway – mostly.” The event will be held at 8 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 21 at the Mirowitz Performing Arts Center of the Staenberg Family Complex of the Jewish Community Center, 2 Millstone Campus Drive in Creve Coeur.
Performers — most with connections to previous NJT productions — include some of St. Louis’ top Cabaret performers: Ben Nordstrom, Linda Kennedy, Johanna Elkana-Hale, Tim Schall and April Strelinger. The evening will be hosted by Edward Coffield.
The event is a prelude to the NJT 2013-2014 season, which opens Oct. 3 with Neil Simon’s “The Good Doctor,” and moves through the season with other dramas and classics until the season closing comedy, “Old Jews Telling Jokes.”
General admission is $45 and includes complimentary drink and dessert buffet. A premium ticket package costs $120 for two tickets with preferred seating, dessert buffet and a bottle of Champagne for two. Additional wine will be available for purchase.
