Below: On Sunday, Jan. 14 Congregation B’nai Amoona celebrated Mitzvah Day which was sponsored by Dr. Gary Myers in memory of his wife, Lynn, who passed away in October 2017.  The Mitzvah Day Committee planned a full morning of Mitzvah projects benefiting many local and Israeli charities.  Jan Baron was honored for her years of teaching and service to the congregation, and Maxine Clark, founder of Build-A-Bear Workshops, was the guest speaker.  Chef Jon Hoffman prepared a luncheon that followed the presentations at noon.  Featured in the photo are Jan Baron’s Chet Class (8th Grade) students, Rabbi Carnie Rose (partially hidden behind the class), Jan Baron holding the Wonder Woman bear that Maxine Clark presented to her, and Maxine Clark.
