Since the report that a senior Obama administration official anonymously characterized Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu as “a chickenshit,” tongues have been wagging from Washington to Jerusalem about the breakdown in U.S.-Israel ties. But is the relationship really in crisis? Is President Obama set to shift U.S. policy on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict? How are Netanyahu’s stances on settlements and U.S. ties playing in Israel?
