We don’t have much time to post now. Shimon Peres’ appearance at the opening session was one of the most emotional moments we’ve ever had here. Another nice moment was the presentation of Sheriff Greg White of Cole County, Mo, (Jeff City) talking about the training he received in Israel.

We’re off to a “breakout session” with Alan Makovsky, the chief Democratic staff member for the House Foreign Affairs Committee, who will talk about Turkey. Alan comes from a great high school class I know well, U. City ’68.
