Alex Haimann’s collection includes a host of stamps and other artifacts related to the Anglo-Zulu War in South Africa in the 19th century. Above is a handwritten 1882 letter requesting a signature of the deposed Zulu king, Cetshwayo, who was at that time imprisoned in the Cape Town Castle.
