The Saul Brodsky Jewish Community Library occupies 4,700 square feet in the Jewish Federation Kopolow Building. The library houses more than 23,000 volumes of fiction and nonfiction. It contains a children’s area, reference section and the St. Louis Jewish Community Archives. It also carries periodicals and large print novels, as well as a large collection of films of Jewish interest, including feature and foreign films and documentaries. The library has public access computers for reference and internet access, Wi-Fi and gourmet coffee. The library hosts a variety of literacy-related events for adults and children throughout the year.
The library is open Monday – Friday, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Satellite locations have opened within the Maryville University and CBC High School libraries. The library maintains a catalog of many of the Jewish libraries in St. Louis, online at destiny.jfedstl.org.
