Amanda Robinson, daughter of Dr. Howard N. Robinson and Jeanette Robinson of Miami Beach, Fla. and Jonathan Alpert, son of Theodore and Marsha Alpert of Denver, Colo., have announced their engagement. 

Amanda is the granddaughter of the late William S. Robinson and Adaline Smith Robinson of Creve Coeur and Harold and Shelia Shatkin of Miami Beach. The bride-to-be went to Hillel Community Day School and graduated from Miami Country Day School and the University of Michigan, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in communications. She is currently a real estate broker for David, Hicks & Lampert Brokerage in Denver.

Her fiancé is a graduate of Cherry Creek High School and Emory University, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in business. He is currently a real estate manager for Shea Properties in Denver.

A November, 2010 wedding is planned in Miami Beach.
