Kay and Kenneth Holtzman were married on Sept. 11, 1949, at the bride’s home in University City. Rabbi Julian Miller from B’nai El officiated. A luncheon followed the ceremony at Le Château.  Kenneth graduated from Soldan High School. Kay(Fox) graduated from University City High School.

Kenneth is a veteran of World War II serving in the air corps. He flew A25 fighter bombers. Returning to run retail businesses with his mother and brother in Illinois. 

The Holtzman’s lived in Creve Coeur, members of Share Emeth Congregation before moving to Southern California. 

Ken and Kay have two daughters: Debbi, married to the late David Grebler who was active with many Jewish causes, including being the board chair of the Jewish Light. Nikki is married to Jess Meyers of San Bernardino. 

When asked about their long marriage by their daughter, Debbi, Kenneth replied:

“We’re not just married people, we’re good friends.”
