Hadassah is a 2005 Nobel Peace Prize nominee and the largest women’s membership organization in the United States. In Israel, it supports pacesetting medical care and research, education and youth-at-risk programs, reforestation and parks projects. In the United States, Hadassah promotes health education, social action and advocacy, volunteerism and leadership skills. Hadassah’s Young Judaea program helps build connections with Israel in children, teens and young adults through camps, volunteer opportunities and year-course programs in both the US and Israel. A special bar/bat mitzvah program offers terrific opportunities for meaningful mitzvah projects for Jewish children.

Signature programs include: “Walking on Sunshine” fighting brain tumors by funding neuro oncology research, and the annual “Dream Kitchen Tour”.

Our special event health programs focus on issues pertinent to those of Ashkenazi or Sephardic descent, something unique to health programs held in the St. Louis area.

The local St. Louis Chapter is celebrating 91 years and has 1,700+ members whose average age is 48. Both social and informative activities and events are held throughout the year. Special interest groups include: Torah Yoga, a Jewish Book Club, and a Parlor Party series.

Judy Kramer is Chapter President.
