Bais Abraham Congregation, located near the University City Loop and Washington University, is a diverse and welcoming Modern Orthodox synagogue with a wide array of programming, including Shabbat and weekday services, holiday celebrations, an Israeli Hebrew school and bnei/bnot mitzvah program, Torah learning groups and classes, community service opportunities, Shabbat hospitality, and children’s group and babysitting on Shabbat morning.
Individuals and families of all backgrounds and levels of observance are welcome. The congregation is home to many single young professionals and young couples and families, as well as retirees and everyone in between. The Shalhevet Kollel (with Maharat Rori Picker Neiss and Dr. Jack Shapiro) meets weekly, and periodically the congregation hosts the St. Louis Women’s Tefillah Group, Shabbat Lunch and Learn events, and Friday night Carlebach services and dinners.
