ST. LOUIS, MISSOURI — This Hanukkah, the 29’ Staenberg Menorah at Kiener Plaza Park will be lit every night of the eight day holiday. The Chanukah @ The Arch celebrations, sponsored by Peoples National Bank, will feature Hanukkah light-up giveaways, music, dreidel man and chocolate gelt for the children.
“We’re going even bigger this year with menorah lightings every night of Hanukkah,” said Rabbi Yosef Landa, regional director of Chabad of Greater St. Louis, the organizer of Chanukah @ The Arch. “The idea is to allow as many people as possible to participate in what has become a St. Louis tradition.”
The public menorah lightings began in 1973 when the Rebbe, Rabbi Menachem M. Schneerson, of righteous memory, launched the Hanukkah campaign, of which Chanukah @ The Arch is a part of.
The Chanukah @ The Arch celebrations are free and open to the public. For planning purposes and to ensure the most enjoyable experience for all, organizers ask that you get a (free) ticket in advance.
