Florentin, the new Israeli-inspired restaurant from restaurateur Ben Poremba, is set to open in St. Louis’ Delmar Maker District on Friday, June 7.

Named for Poremba’s favorite neighborhood in Tel Aviv. the eatery aims to bring the Bohemian culture and vibrant culinary scene of that area to St. Louis. Florentin will be open for breakfast, lunch and early dinner, with both sit-down and counter options available.

“We will initially open as a day-time cafe,” said Poremba on his Instagram account. “Doors will be open for walk-ins at 8 a.m. We will be serving @quarrelsomecoffee and offer quick and healthy breakfast and fresh pressed juices.”

The mostly vegetarian menu is inspired by the iconic street foods of Tel Aviv, offering dishes such as shakshuka, falafel, hummus, various dips and a selection of toasts. The menu will also include fresh juice, smoothies, overnight oats, coffee and pastries, catering to early morning coffee runs, breakfast and lunch. Dinner service is planned to be added at a later date.
