Banana, Date, and Maple Smoothie

Note: To crush ice cubes, wrap them in a clean dish towel and bash them with a rolling pin or a meat mallet. This is best done outdoors on the ground!

Makes 4 servings.

Pulse all ingredients in a blender in the order listed:

3 peeled large ripe bananas

3-4 Medjool dates, pitted

3 tbsp. old-fashioned rolled oats

2 tbsp. maple syrup

2 cups organic yogurt

1¼ cups whole milk

About 12 ice cubes, crushed
