Congregation B’nai Amoona is more than a synagogue — we are a second home, a place to connect with faith, family, community, and Israel.

Founded 140 years ago, this fully egalitarian, Conservative Jewish congregation serves nearly 700 member households who enjoy a rich array of educational, social, and religious programs. Our core values focus on prayer, spirituality, education, social action, and inclusion. We are especially proud of our lay-led Minyannaire program, which ensures an in-person Minyan is held morning and evening, every day of the year.

Our 70,000-square-foot facility, on our 33-acre campus, includes a 1,500-seat Sanctuary, a 200-seat Chapel, administrative offices, three Kosher kitchens, and banquet facilities. We proudly run the Linda Rotskoff Early Childhood Center for children six months through PreK, which runs year round. During the summer, we host a dynamic camp program, Ramot Amoona, for children in grades K-8 within our facility and on our extensive grounds.

The synagogue offers a range of educational programs, including the Meyer Kranzberg Center for Jewish Living and Learning, serving children from kindergarten through 12th grade. We also enjoy a cooperative relationship with the Saul Mirowitz Jewish Community School, which shares our campus.

With unmatched enthusiasm, creative programming concepts, and broad experience, Rabbi Abraham brings expertise on the changing needs of the Jewish community and engages those who seek a new and deeper connection to Judaism.

Rabbi Abraham, senior rabbi since 2023, came to B’nai Amoona in 2020 after six years as senior rabbi at Congregation Agudas Achim in San Antonio, Texas. He earned his rabbinic ordination at the Jewish Theological Seminary and holds a Masters in Jewish Education, as well as a double bachelor’s degree in Jewish Studies and Hebrew Letters, with a minor in Political Science. He is trained as a community organizer with JOIN for Justice, is a Professional Affiliate with Big Tent Judaism, and has worked on a number of Keruv initiatives in outreach to interfaith families.  He is a staunch advocate for the State of Israel and our Jewish People.

Joining Rabbi Abraham are Cantor Sharon Nathanson and Assistant Rabbi Jared Skoff. Cantor Nathanson has served our Congregation since 2003. Utilizing the rich tradition of Jewish music, the Cantor engages members of all ages and abilities to join her in song and prayer.

Rabbi Skoff joined the Klei Kodesh team in 2024. He strives to help Jews of all ages and backgrounds feel at home with Judaism and fall in love with Jewish culture. Rabbi Skoff is a 4th generation midwesterner, and grandson of Rabbi Benson (z”l) and Rosalind Skoff (z”l) who were longtime religious leaders of BSKI (now Kol Rinah), here in St. Louis.

Together, this dynamic team continues to inspire and lead members in being a welcoming, inclusive, community-minded congregation.

Gail Feldstein serves as President.
