Longtime art museum docent to discuss money and art
The art market today is an enterprise estimated to be in excess of 70 billion dollars. From 10 to 11 a.m., join Dale Sharon, a 25-year docent at the St. Louis Art Museum and an exhibited artist, as she looks at the history of money through the lens of related paintings and objects in the museum’s permanent collection. Sharon’s talk will focus on objects that were considered valuable and emblems of wealth in their time, and some of the beautiful and priceless works in the museum.
