Cori Erin Weissman of St. Louis, daughter of Scott and Geri Weissman of St. Louis, and Ian Elijah Kleinman of New York, son of Paul and Michelle Kleinman of New York, have announced their engagement. 

She is the granddaughter of the late Marilyn and Robert Green, and Roberta and the late Sidney Weissman, all of St. Louis. He is the grandson of the late Samuel and Goldie Berman and the late David and Ruth Kleinman, all of New York. 

The bride-to-be majored in experimental art at Jacksonville University. She currently works as an art consultant for DAC Hospitality in Atlanta, Ga. Her fiancé majored in advertising and communications at the University of Hartford. He currently works as a graphic designer for Jones, Lang, LaSalle in Atlanta. 

Cori and Ian met freshman year at Jacksonville University. Ian transferred to University of Hartford. They reconnected eight years later on a Birthright trip to Israel. 

An October, 2013 wedding is planned.
