Latz-Polon

Jennifer Diane Latz, daughter of Stephen and Carol Latz of Chesterfield, and Jonathan Samuel Polon, son of Ira and Marilyn Polon of North Bethesda, Md., have announced their engagement.

She is the granddaughter of the late David and the late Sylvia Latz of Massapequa, N.Y., and the late Myer and the late Reva Rosenbaum of Omaha, Neb.

He is the grandson of the late Robert Polon of New York and Mary Polon of Long Beach, N.Y., and the late Albert and the late Bertha Schuman of Baltimore.

The bride-to-be is a graduate of the University of Michigan, where she earned a B.A. degree in English, and the University of Texas, where she earned a master’s in professional accounting. She is currently an associate at Ziff Brothers Investments in New York City.

Her fiancé is a graduate of Tufts University, where he earned a B.A. degree in international relations, and the University of Michigan, where he earned an MBA degree. He is currently a director at American Express in New York City.

A November wedding is planned.

Freedman-Wagner

A June 2007 wedding is planned. Lisa Freedman, daughter of Mel and Joyce Freedman of Chicago, and Brian Wagner, son of Jeff and Karen Wagner of Chesterfield, have announced their engagement. She is the granddaughter of the late Martha and Sam Freedman of Del Ray Beach, Fla., and Molly and the late Max Radziminsky of Pembrooke Pines, Fla. He is the grandson of Selma and Irv Kramer of Creve Coeur and Harriet and the late Leonard Wagner of St. Louis. The bride-to-be is a graduate of Beachwood High School and the University of Wisconsin in Madison, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in retail marketing. She currently works as marketing coordinator for Martor USA, a family business in Chicago. Her fianc é is a graduate of Parkway Central High School and the University of Illinois in Champaign-Urbana, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in finance and a master’s degree in accounting. He currently is a tax consultant manager at Deloitte in Chicago. An October 2006 wedding is planned.
