SCHWARTZ/NEWMAN ENGAGEMENT

Margo Beth (Gantz) Schwartz, daughter of Alice and David Gantz of Rockville, Md., and Andrew Wade Newman, son of the late Janet Newman and Burton and Stacey (stepmom) Newman of St. Louis have announced their engagement.

She is the granddaughter of Frank and the late Pearl Gantz of Silver Spring, Md. and Arthur and the late Margaret Peisner of Newport News, Va.

He is the grandson of the late Shirley and the late Herman Fishman of St. Louis and the late Bessie and the late Marcel “Max” Newman of St. Louis.

The bride-to-be is a graduate of Rockville High School and Bradley University where she earned a B.A. degree in international studies.

She is currently in Development at the Jewish Federation of St. Louis.

Her fianc é is a graduate of Ladue (Horton-Watkins) High School and Syracuse University where he earned a B.F.A. degree in film. He is currently Web Developer for Shoes.com.

A December, 2009 wedding is planned.

BECKER-ZGODNY ENGAGEMENT

Vicki Susanne Becker, daughter of Kathy and Bill Becker of St. Louis and Daniel Zgodny, son of Rose-Marie and Elliot Zgodny of Yorktown Heights, N.Y. have announced their engagement.

She is the granddaughter of the late Harriet and the late Charles Becker of St. Louis and the late Catherine and the late Chester Bell of Alton, Ill.

He is the grandson of Rosa and Gunnar Bjurman of Onag, Sweden and Pauline and William Zgodny of Queens, N.Y.

The bride-to-be is a graduate of Parkway Central and the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where she earned a B.A. degree in international relations. She is currently a lawyer for the New York City Law Department-Corporation Counsel.

Her fianc é is a graduate of Horace Greeley-Westchester, N.Y. and Lehigh University, where he earned a B.A. degree in finance. He is currently a stockbroker for Leerink, Swann & Co.

An October, 2009 wedding is planned.

HOLTZMANS CELEBRATE 60 YEARS

Kenneth and Kay Holtzman married in St. Louis on September 11, 1949. Now living in southern California, they are celebrating their 60th wedding anniversary with their children Jess and Nikki Meyers of California and David and Debbi Grebler of St. Louis along with family and friends. They are blessed with five grandchildren: Jessica and Marcia Meyers in California and Sarina, Joshua and Joel Grebler in St. Louis.
