RUBEN-DANIELS

Meredith Lynn Ruben, daughter of Gloria and Michael Ruben of Chesterfield, Mo., and Kevin Douglas Daniels, son of Jimmy and Lois Daniels of Fenton, Mo., have announced their engagement. She is the granddaughter of Jean and Nap Friedman of Chesterfield, Mo., and Esther and Max Ruben of Cleveland, Ohio. He is the grandson of Goldie and the late Paul Goldberg of St. Louis and Mary and the late Lee Daniels of Pine Bluff, Ark.

The bride-to-be is a graduate of Parkway Central and the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where she earned a B.S. degree in elementary education. She is currently a kindergarten teacher in the Hazelwood School District.

Her fiance is a graduate of Rockwood Summit High School and the University of Missouri-Columbia where he earned a B.S. degree in secondary education. He is currently a high school math teacher at Ritenour High School.

A June 2008 wedding is planned.

SHEALY-SCHATZMAN

Karen Ann Shealy, daughter of Karen and Kurt Krueger of Florissant, and Scott Allan Schatzman, son of Beverly Schatzman and the late Dr. Joel Alan Schatzman of Chesterfield, were married July 1, 2007 at The Butterfly House where Rabbi Ephraim Zimand officiated. A wedding reception will take place in early September. She is the granddaughter of Mary and Sylvester Lozano and Louise and Leon Shealy, of Cleveland, Tenn.

He is the grandson of Anita and Abe Kaufman of St. Louis.

The bride chose Karen Krueger, her mother, as matron of honor. Ashley and Amy Wier, niece of the groom, served as flower girl. The groom chose Donald Singer as best man. The ring bearers were Alek and Andrew Wier, nephews of the groom.

Following a wedding trip to the Mayan Riviera. The couple resides in Ballwin.
