LIVINGSTONE-TOWERMAN ENGAGEMENT

Amanda Faye Livingstone, daughter of Marcy and Seth Livingstone of Potomac Falls, Va., and Matthew Allen Towerman, son of Barbara and Michael Towerman of Chesterfield, have announced their engagement.

She is the granddaughter of Rosalyn and Jason Levy of Boston, Mass., and Sheila and Israel Livingstone of Boston, Mass.

He is the grandson of Stanford and the late Elaine Towerman of St. Louis and Ilien and Gerald Towbin and the late Aaron Cohen of St. Louis.

The bride-to-be is a graduate of Dominion High School and a senior at the University of Virginia where she is earning a B.A. degree in history and Jewish studies.

Her fianc é is a graduate of Marquette High School and the University of Virginia where he earned a B.S. degree in commerce. He is currently an analyst in the real estate private equity group of Goldman Sachs.

An August, 2010 wedding is planned.

SCHWESIG-MELLICK WEDDING

Jennifer Anne Schwesig, daughter of Norm and Marsha Schwesig of Clayton and Kevin Noell Mellick, son of James and Ellen Mellick of Waukon, Iowa were married July 11, 2009 at The St. Louis Club, where Rabbi Jeffrey Stiffman officiated.

A wedding reception followed the ceremony at the St. Louis Club.

She is the granddaughter of Ida and the late Harris Kramer of St. Louis and the late Aloys and the late Lucille Schwesig of St. Louis.

He is the grandson of the late Urban and Helen Mellick of Waukon, Iowa.

The bride chose Laurie Beth Smilack, the bride’s sister as matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Lisa Miles, friend of the bride, Karen Ganschaw, friend of the bride, Mary Beth Mellick, sister-in-law of the bride and Andrea Cunning, friend of the bride.

The groom chose Michael Mellic, brother of the groom as best man. Groomsmen were Jesse Berg, friend of the groom, Chris Kilbride, friend of the groom, Matthew Rosenthal, friend of the groom and Zachary Smilack, brother-in-law of the groom. Donald Breckenridge, Jr., friend of the bride, served as Usher.

Following a wedding trip to Moorea and Bora Bora, the couple resides in University City.

MOORE-SILVERBERG WEDDING

Gwen Moore, daughter of Paulette and Larry Moore of Ballwin, and Rob Silverberg, son of Linda and Jerry Sandmel of St. Louis and Jerry and Theresa Silverberg of St. Charles, were married June 19, 2009 on the beach at the Sandoz Resort in Playa del Carma, Mexico.

The civil ceremony was performed by Rob’s mother, Linda. A dinner at Asiana followed the ceremony. A wedding reception was held in St. Louis Sept. 5 at Tilles Park.

She is the granddaughter of George Egleston of Naples, Fla. and the late Pauline Egleston and the late Helen and Gene Moore.

He is the grandson of the late Minerva and the late Morris Paster of St. Louis and Rose Silverberg of Valrico, Fla. and the late Sidney Silverberg of St. Louis.

The bride chose her sister, Lauren Moore, as maid of honor.

The groom chose his brother, Gary Silverberg, as best man.

The bride and groom live in St. Louis.

LEVYS CELEBRATE 60 YEARS

Harvey and Betty Levy celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary Sept. 4 with a rededication of their wedding vows, officiated by spiritual leader Larry Comensky of B’nai Torah Congregation.

In attendance to the weekend celebrations were children Barbara and Richard Hrach, Stanford and Rebecca Levy, Fran and Mark Karp; grandchildren Chad and Amy Levy, Christopher Hrach, Kari Hrack, Jon Levy, Jacob Lucas and Jeremy Karp, plus Lynn, Denny and Amanda; great-grandchildren Devlin and Pasha Levy; brothers and sisters Marvin and Alice Levy, Sandra and Dr. Gerald Wool, Lorraine and Zelig Rothman; and nephews and nieces, Stuart and Betsy Zimbalist, Bill and Joelle Zimbalist, Sherry, Brad and Daniel Lightle and Andrew Wool.

KANEFIELD-SILVERMAN ENGAGEMENT

Emily Goodman Kanefield, daughter of Jeff and Renee Kanefield of Clayton, and Neil Ryan Silverman, son of Howard and Debbie Silverman of West Bloomfield, Mich., have announced their engagement.

She is the granddaughter of the late Marvin and the late Thelma Kanefield of St. Louis and the late Ralph and Geraldine Goodman of St. Louis.

He is the grandson of the late Milt and the late Tillie Silverman of Detroit, Mich. and the late David and the late Edith Aguas of Detroit, Mich.

The bride-to-be is a graduate of Clayton High School and Emory University where she earned a B.B.A. degree in Finance and Dance. She is currently a financial analyst at UBS in New York City.

Her fianc é is a graduate of West Bloomfield High School and the University of Michigan where he earned a B.A. degree in History. He is currently in finance in New York City.

An October, 2009 wedding is planned.
