GIBBONS-BERMAN

Lizabeth Rose Gibbons, daughter of Shelley Gibbons of St. Louis and Matthew Dan Berman, son of Dr. Mel and Anita Berman of Raleigh, N.C., were married May 27, 2007 at the Chase Park Plaza where Rabbi Mark Fasman officiated. A wedding reception followed the ceremony at the Chase Park Plaza. She is the granddaughter of Ruth Sacks Berger of Clayton and Jerry Berger of New York.

He is the grandson of Julia Goldczer of Miami and the late Leo Goldczer of Miami and the late Emma Berman and the late Samuel Berman of New York.

The bride chose Stefani Sereboff, her friend, as matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Nina Bastow, Cristina Suales, Caroline Shaikewitz, cousins of the bride; and Heather Bilski; Lauren Litowsky; and Jada Evans.

The groom chose Scott Weinstein, his friend, as best man. Groomsmen were Warren Berman, Brian Berman, brothers of the groom; Noah Goldberg, cousin of the groom; Ryan Gibbons, brother of the bride; and Stuart Klamen. Ushers were Joseph Shaikewitz, cousin of the bride; Peter Brickler and Scott Sereboff.

Following a wedding trip to St. Lucia, the couple resides in University City.

BUXBAUM-HUNT

Sally Buxbaum, daughter of Linda Shore and Alan Buxbaum of Creve Coeur, and Noah Hunt, son of Jane Stevens and Dr. James Hunt of Webster Groves, have announced their engagement.

The bride-to-be is a graduate of Webster Groves High School and the University of Missouri-St. Louis where she earned a masters degree in counseling.

She is currently an elementary school counselor in St. Louis Public Schools.

Her fiance is a graduate of Webster Groves High School and will graduate from UMSL in December, where he will earn a masters degree in public policy administration.

He is currently a graduate research assistant at UMSL.

A July 2008 wedding is planned.

 

FRIEDMAN-GROSSMAN

Joanna Rebecah Friedman, daughter of Howard and Virginia Friedman of Mansfield, Texas, and Bradley Dax Grossman, son of Joyce and Bernard Grossman of Aventura, Fla. have announced their engagement.

She is the granddaughter of Dan and Estelle Friedman and Fernando and Ana Constantino.

He is the grandson of Bernard and Ruth Schrager and Emmanuel and Hannah Grossman.

The bride-to-be graduated from Princeton and will be studying at Oxford on Fulbright and Clarendon scholarships.

Her fiance graduated from Cornell and the University of Chicago Law School.

He will serve as a law clerk for Chief Judge Loken on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit, and then work at the law firm of Ropes and Gray in Boston.

They are planning a wedding for December of 2008.
