Jo Rose and Richard Cohn recently celebrated their 50th anniversary on Sept. 20, 2009 with a family gathering in Chicago.

The Cohns met on a blind date in St. Louis and after a whirlwind two-month courtship were married at Baron Hirsch Synagogue in Memphis.

In attendance at the weekend of festivities in Chicago were their children, Stacey and Paul Siver of Chicago, Erica Schneider of New York, whose husband Jason was unfortunately unable to attend, and Creighton and Plia Cohn of St. Louis, together with their grandchildren Sara, Julianna, Mackenzie, Leetal, Michael and Matan and Dick’s mother, Anne Cohn of St. Louis.

After returning from the long weekend celebration, the couple was called to the Torah at their synagogue, B’nai Amoona, where they were blessed by Rabbi Carnie Rose.
