RUBY-LIGHT

Elissa Ruby, daughter of Bob and Marilyn Ruby of Milwaukee, Wisc., and Joshua Light, son of Marty and Diane Light of Chesterfield, Mo., were married July 6, 2008 at Brynwood Country Club where Rabbi Steven Leder officiated. A wedding reception followed the ceremony at the Brynwood Country Club. She is the granddaughter of Bill and Paula Ruby of Milwaukee, Wisc., and Leonard and Barbara Leder of Minneapolis, Minn. He is the grandson of Pearl and Robert Light of St. Louis, Mo., and the late Bernard and the late Renee Levine of St. Louis, Mo. The bridesmaids were Rachel Ladin, Lori Silverstein, Elizabeth Katz, Elana Leaf, all friends of the bride, and Kelly Ruby, sister-in-law of the bride. The groom chose Aaron Light, brother of the groom, as best man. Groomsmen were Michael Ruby and Matthew Ruby, brothers of the bride, Joshua Saltzman, Jordan Gerson, friends of the groom and Andrew Levine, cousin of the groom. Ushers were Andrew Herman and David Reeder, friends of the groom.

BRANDVEINS CELEBRATE 50 YEARS

Judy and John Brandvein recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on November 2, 2008. They met on a blind date and got married at the Gatesworth Hotel in St. Louis two years later. They will continue their family tradition by taking their 9th annual cruise during the winter holiday. Judy and John are the proud parents of Rochelle (Randy) Aaranson and Harvey (Teri) Brandvein and the proud grandparents of Jeremy, Sydney and Ethan Aaranson and Rachel, Jessica and Adam Brandvein.

WISHNE BAT MITZVAH

Barri Wishne, daughter of Lori and Joel Wishne, will become a bat mitzvah on Saturday, November 15, 2008 at Congregation B’nai Amoona. Grandparents are Linda and Charlie Hilton of St. Louis and Carol and Fred Maier of Columbus, Ohio.
