Abby Michelle Berger, daughter of Ellen and Barry Berger of Creve Coeur, and Dr. Tri Minh Nguyen, son of Ngoc-Chua Tran and Dr. Thinh Van Nguyen, of Scottsdale, Ariz. were married September 26, 2009 at the JW Marriott Desert Ridge Resort and Spa in Phoenix, Ariz. where Cantor Bernie Zahn officiated.

She is the granddaughter of Selma and Fred Berger of St. Louis and the late Clara and Edward Rubin.

The bride chose her sister, Marcy Tyree, as matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Betsey Bokal, Ashley DiPuma, Michelle Fang, Michelle Rosch, Ricki Rosen, Ries Thieme, and Cori Weissman, all friends of the bride. Phuong-Mai Reagan Nguyen, niece of the groom, served as flower girl.

The groom chose his brother, Dr. Thai Nguyen, as best man. Groomsmen were Dr. William Barlow, Dr. Greg Goodear, Dr. Thomas Hau, Dr. George Loukatos, Dr. Edward Ortiz, all friends of the groom, Dr. Ky Tran, cousin of the groom, and Dr. Wesley Tyree, brother-in-law of the bride. Ushers were Dr. H. Kenith Fang and Dr. Akil Loli, friends of the groom. The ring bearer was Alexander Tyree, nephew of the bride.

Following a honeymoon to Moorea and Bora Bora, the couple resides in Scottsdale, Ariz.

MANN-LARSON WEDDING

Stephanie Rose Mann, daughter of Zachary and Carole Mann of Creve Coeur, and Derek Sloan Larson, son of David and Susan Larson of Chicago, Ill., were married September 6, 2009 at the Renaissance Grand Hotel, where Rabbi Mordecai Miller officiated.

A wedding reception followed the ceremony at the Renaissance Grand Hotel Ballroom.

She is the granddaughter of Viola and the late David Beckerman and the late Ada and Irving Mann. He is the grandson of Joyce and Milton Sloan and the late Violet and Albin Larson.

The bride chose her sister, Jennifer Mann Bortnick as matron of honor. Brittney Stone, a friend of the bride, was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Katie Pape, Nicole Persky, Erin Guller, Dana Hortick, all friends of the bride and Kelly Larson and Stephanie Larson, both sisters of the groom.

The groom chose Mark Bonslog, a friend of the groom, as best man. Groomsmen were Jared Cohen, Mike Konopacki, Bill Bruno, Zaid Fadul and Greg Papiez, all friends of the groom and Josh Bortnick, the bride’s brother-in-law.

Following a wedding trip to Hawaii, the couple resides in Chicago, Ill.
