Cox-Gerstein

Lori Ann Cox, daughter of Sharon Gibson and the late William Cox of Granite City, and Scott Paul Gerstein, son of Ronni and the late Alan Gerstein of Chesterfield, have announced their engagement.

She is the granddaughter of the late Loretta and the late Fred Luebbert and the late Beulah and the late Carl Cox, all of Granite City.

He is the grandson of the late Evelyn and the late Louis Gerber of Brooklyn, N.Y., and the late Jeannie and the late Jack Gerstein of St. Louis. The bride-to-be is a graduate of Granite City High School and Maryville University, where she earned a bachelor of science degree in physical therapy. She is currently a pediatric physical therapist at St. Louis Children’s Hospital. Her fianc é is a graduate of Parkway Central High School and the University of Missouri, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in personal finance. He is attending Webster University and anticipating to graduate with an MBA in May 2007. He is currently a reconciliation analyst for MasterCard Worldwide.

A May 2007 wedding is planned.

Freedman-Thune

Tama Gwen Freedman, daughter of Joel and Barbara Freedman, formerly of Chesterfield, and Warren Scott Thune, son of Stanley and Eleanor Thune of Princeton, N.J., have announced their engagement.

She is the granddaughter of Sylvia and the late Saul Silberberg of Coconut Creek, Fla., and the late Dr. Sid and Cele Freedman of Hallandale, Fla. He is the grandson of Betty and the late Morris Hutter of Aventura, Fla., and Fay and the late Henry Thune of Boynton Beach, Fla.

The bride-to-be is a graduate of Parkway Central High School and the University of Maryland, where she earned a B.A. degree in secondary education. She is currently teaching high school English in Rockville, Md. Her fianc é graduated from the University of Pennsylvania with honors and earned his MBA degree from the University of Chicago. He is currently an executive director for the Corporate Executive Board in Washington, D.C.

A December wedding is planned.
