Schwartz-Spector

Lisa Ann Schwartz, daughter of Bob Schwartz of Peru, Ind., and Shelley Mandel of Chesterfield, and Kevin Robert Spector, son of Alan and Ann Spector of Cincinnati, were married May 20, 2006, at the Popponesset Inn in Mashpee, Mass., where Rabbi David Freelund officiated. A wedding reception followed the ceremony at the Popponesset Inn. She is the granddaughter of Harvey and Terry Hieken and Harry and Katie Schwartz.

He is the grandson of Alvin and Lenore Sachar and the late Jeanette and the late Herman Spector and Molly Spector. The bride chose Sara Uribe, her sister, as matron of honor. Julie Schwartz, sister of the bride, was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Rebecca Schwartz, sister of the bride; Rachel Schwartz, sister of the bride; Emily Vlk, cousin of the groom; Dana DeBlasi, sister of the groom.

The groom chose Thomas Marshall and Jason Wise as best men. Groomsmen were William Girasuolo, Doug Kenner, Mark Land, and Marc Stern.

Following a wedding trip to Fiji, the couple resides in Cambridge, Mass.

Mirowitzes celebrate 53 years

Saul and Barbara Mirowitz recently celebrated their 53rd wedding anniversary at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel in Clayton.

The party was arranged by their children, Marilyn (Marty) Levison, Wendy (Steve) Goldberg, Jan (Sender) Axelbaum and Jill (David) Mogil.

Barbara and Saul renewed their wedding vows in a surprise ceremony officiated by Rabbi Ephraim Zimand of Traditional Congregation.

Touching speeches were delivered by the daughters, followed by dinner and dancing.

Goldbergs celebrate 50 years

Elaine and Oscar Goldberg recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. They celebrated with a cruise to the Southern Caribbean with their children and grandchildren. In addition, they were honored at Congregation B’nai Amoona with a special Kiddush luncheon.
