Pratzel & Lohse-Busch
Emily Lauren Pratzel, daughter of Mae and Alan Pratzel of Chesterfield, and Henning Lohse-Busch, son of Dr. Henning and Brigitte Lohse-Busch of Alsace, France have announced their engagement. She is the granddaughter of the late Bonnie and the late Nathan Meyer and the late Bertha and the late Nathan Pratzel. He is the grandson of the late Hannah and the late Erich Kunig and the late Ursula and the late Robert Busch. The bride-to-be is a graduate of Parkway Central and Washington University where she earned a BSA degree in visual communication. She is currently self-employed as a graphic designer. Her fiance is a graduate of Virginia Tech where he earned an MS degree in mechanical engineering. He is currently a research engineer and working towards a Ph.D. The couple currently reside in Chicago.
A November 2008 wedding is planned.
Melnik-Berger
Alison Gail Melnik, daughter of Dr. Paul and Barbara Melnik of St. Louis, and Brett Evan Berger, son of Doron and Barbara Berger of St. Louis, have announced their engagement.
She is the granddaughter of Bill and Edna Melnick and Ruth and the late Mitchell Melnik. He is the grandson of Arthur and Evelyn Rudin and the late Heinrich and Suzy Berger. The bride-to-be is a graduate of Whitfield School and Washington University in St. Louis where she earned a B.S. degree in art history, and Boston University where she earned a master’s degree in arts administration. She is currently employed as events manager at COCA (Center of Creative Arts). Her fiance is a graduate of Parkway Central High School and Indiana University where he earned a B.S. degree in business. He is currently employed as systems deployment specialist at Panera Bread.
A September 2008 wedding is planned.
Rovak-Gelfer
Anne Michele Rovak, daughter of Louise and Rick Rovak of Creve Coeur, and Colin Guilbert Gelfer, son of Carol and George Gelfer of West Chester, Pa., were married on June 30, 2007 at Congregation Shaare Emeth where Rabbi James Bennett officiated. A reception followed the ceremony at Lindell Pavilion in Forest Park. The bride is the granddaughter of the late Marion and the late Barney Lebowitz, and Marie and the late Abe Rovak. The groom is the grandson of Lillian and the late Robert Guilbert, and the late Genevieve and the late George W. Gelfer. The bride chose her sister, Erin Henderschedt as matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Katherine Stueland, Amy Hershey, and Heidi Watson. Annie Gelfer, niece of the groom, served as flower girl. The groom chose his brother George Gelfer, Jr. as best man. Groomsmen were Ben Crutcher, Steve Shirk and Justin Mayerick. Nephews Jack, Jed and Huck Henderschedt and Jack Gelfer served as ring bearers.
The couple resides in Chicago, Ill.
